“Interrupted Lives” 2010
Interrupted Lives was produced in partnership with the Abdorrahman Boroumand Foundation, an organization dedicated to human rights and democracy for Iran. The documentary tells of how the thirty-year wave of oppression in the Islamic Republic of Iran has systematically targeted students. This is the story of four of those students.
“Dreams of Flight” 2010
Story4 and the Wright Flyer Project present “Dreams of Flight” a 10-minute documentary on the project’s achievements and the desire to build an endowment for a permanent educational exhibit at historic FlaBob Ariport in Riverside, Calif.
“Asian American Voices” 2010
Asian American Voices was produced in collaboration with Asian Americans for Community Involvement, a social services agency, for web distribution and community group screenings.
The piece is used as a means to raise awareness, initiate community dialogue and help formulate policy. The short documentary tells the personal stories of three recent Asian American immigrants in Silicon Valley in the context of the history of contributions made by Asian immigrants as they overcame language, cultural and health care barriers.
“Sowing Change” 2009
STORY4’s short documentary, “Sowing Change,” was rolled out in chapters by The Women’s Foundation of California (link). Shot in the Central Valley in March 2009 during a funders tour, the video takes the stories to a wider audience on the web. The video tells stories of women who are leading grass-roots organizations working to improve the health of those who live in California’s fastest growing – and most polluted – region.
“The Nature of Well-Being” 2008
When the Big Sur Land Trust wanted to announce their new vision, they partnered with STORY4 to show the powerful connections between people and the land. The video premiered to a gathering of over 600 members and donors. It is featured on the organization’s web site in six brief segments, organized around the themes of BSLT’s strategic initiatives.
